Hydroxyapatite, the fluoride alternative

Hydroxyapatite is the calcium phosphate mineral that makes up our teeth and bones. Around 97% of tooth enamel and 70% of dentin is hydroxyapatite. Natch describes its calcium hydroxyapatite as "the fluoride alternative, NASA tested". Every Natch toothpaste formula in the range is built on it, with no fluoride.

Fills the surface

Fills small holes and cracks in the enamel surface with the same mineral the tooth is made of.

Works from the inside

Builds into the enamel rather than sitting as an outer fluoride layer.

Binds bacteria

Does not kill bacteria. It binds to them so they are less able to attach to the tooth.

Mechanism wording as published by Natch Labs. Patients who want to avoid fluoride get a mineral their dentist can explain in one sentence.
